The objective of ADA’s Scholarship Program is to not only foster growth in the number of CDRS evaluators throughout the industry, but to develop a strong working relationship between the CDRS and local ADA Mobility Equipment Dealer.
It is essential that CDRS evaluators understand the importance of a quality dealer to the consumer’s purchasing process. In many cases, evaluators continue to endorse familiar dealers who have not invested in quality, service and long term viability. This is not under the guidelines of best practices, and potentially compromises the safety of the consumer, and the integrity of the evaluator. Evaluators should not and cannot focus merely on price…. it is about outcome and the ability of the dealer to get the job done, get it done right, timely, and provide a safe product.
Exactly, how is a “quality dealer” identified? Good question!!!
·Is the dealer QAP certified?
·Provide 24 hour service?
·Do they have proper product inventory?
·Trained technicians?
Did you know that the Adaptive Driving Alliance (ADA) …..
·Promotes quality testing and safety programs
·Educates driving evaluators and rehabilitation counselors regarding advances in adaptive driving technology.
·Facilitates the ability to obtain priority service when the consumer is traveling outside their home area.
·Provides quality vehicle service, emergency assistance, and manufacturer warranty service centers over wide geographic areas.
Yes, ADA is proud of our commitment to the industry.
Ongoing, it is important to recognize that the future of ADED, evaluators, and mobility dealers is tied to safe vehicles that are sold via face-to-face meetings with a local qualified dealer. Creating long term loyalties between evaluators and dealers is certainly a win-win for the industry, and most important, the consumer.
